826CHI is the very effective non-profit organization, started by TED prize winner Dave Eggers, that teaches city kids creative and expository writing. 826CHI has helped thousands of kids find their voice and improve their writing in a fun and challenging way.

The My World Project II book, following in the footsteps of last year's My World Project, is the result of a photography and writing workshop at 826CHI attended by 14 Chicago students (8th grade to high school juniors) during the summer of 2009. It was shot on $100 cameras. Most of the students did not have photography experience, yet produced hundreds of amazing photos. 70 of the best photos with stories were chosen for this final book.

The class was taught by the 826CHI staff and photographer Mike Hettwer.
