The book contains photographs of about 870 species of live moths . These were taken at attractant lights at my patio and submitted for the Oklahoma state list. It was intended for personal use as a quick reference to those species that had already been photographed and placed online at http://www.pbase.com/m3ling .
It was suggested by those responsible for the list of Oklahoma moths that I make it available to others with the same interests. It might be useful in narrowing down a species identification.
This is not a field guide. There are difficulties in identifying some moths from photographs. And, there are surely some mistaken identifications.
