About the Book
Reflections of Love, poetry by Jude Blance
As you transverse these bound pages, you will find portrayals of my life for your interpretation, comprehension, identification and above all celebration. This is because in poetry, you'll find fragments of your own experiences, emotions and they do not discriminate. Whatever emotion one has, someone else has experienced the same emotion. One's emotion maybe at a different degree than another's, but no one is ever alone in the way they feel. Life is all about preparation and adjustments, things happen, things don't happen and yet everything that does happen there is always a reason why. Poetry is a very powerful way in which I share my feelings with others. This art is only one of the ways I wish to externalize my thoughts, hopes and dreams with everyone.
Artist / Poet living in New Zealand I was born into a small coal mining community on the West Coast of the South Island, New Zealand. We left the South Island in 1968 when they closed the Dobson Coalmine down. We then migrated to the North Island of New Zealand and now I call Porirua City home. I’m currently writing a collection of poems titled My Stormy Weather, based on the ups and downs of my world. Whenever I’ve weathered a storm I find it a great release to write my emotions down in my personal journey of poetry.
