In the canyon waters of Utah, 1997, I leaned down in the boat to pick up my hat, and there he was, "Tribal Warrior." My head was sideways, looking where the rock wall met up with the water. A reflection was created that looked like a petroglyph, thus; my word, "Petreflection," was born. Now I travel the world with a camera at my side, looking for still water and the reflection on the opposite side. Sometimes there's a slight ripple in the water which makes it more realistic. Sometimes the water is so still, I can't tell where the earth ends and the water begins. The energy of the shore creatures is kind and gentle, and I believe they want to be seen and respected. Every time I find a new friend in reflection, it feels like a resonant joining with the earth. I love to capture the intimacy of nature without being intrusive. kathylowemusic.com

Incredible. These images are nature's way of thanking Kathy Lowe for being in the universe and taking such good care of everyone and everything. Her keen eye not only provides us with stimulating images that marriage the beauty of nature with our iconic templates - but speak to me in way that encourages me to have a new perspective on old or know situations. Through a different vantage point, there may be hidden beauty and insight. Next thing you know, she will be singing in drainage pipes to hear if there is an echo....
