After a messy divorce I found myself with five kids to raise and no training except for that of housewife and mother. That was 1990.
In 1992 I went to Centralian Colledge in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory for two years full -time study in an Associate Diploma of Applied and Creative Art. During this time I exhibited my artwork as part of the student body and my photography lecturer took me aside and told me " You will make a half-decent photographer some day". That's all the encouragement I needed.
In 1997 an opportunity arose for me to undertake two further years of full-time study in a Diploma of Photography at Cooloola Sunshine Institute of Tafe on Queensland's Sunshine Coast.Again exhibiting as a member of the student body.
In 2002 I had my first solo exhibition and the following year opened my own business. Within two months I became gravely ill. The doctor said " no more stress."
Since then I have recovered somewhat but through it all I never lost my passio
