About the Book
What’s Cookin’ was based on the premise of people sharing recipes and the associated stories of cooking and food. I love thinking about what unites people — commonalities that cut across cultural, social, political or ethnic lines. I have a particular soft spot for the more homegrown collections of recipes produced by civic associations, religious organizations and families and creating a cookbook seemed like a great way to indulge this idea. Additionally, I have a passion for food, exploring different cultural tastes, learning new techniques, cooking with others and sharing meals together.
