About the Ebook
In June 2012 The village of Honington, Lincolnshire, decided to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee, with two days of celebrations.
The villagers arranged a village walk around the parish limits, a 'lighting of the Beacon' evening event, and to finish off, a Village Fete. This fete included traditional games and a cake baking competition, treasure hunt and a Ceilidh live band.
The weather during 2012 was always unpredictable but fortunately the sun shone
and a good time was had by all.
The photographs in this book were taken by Chris Hainstock, Doris Sowley,
Simon Mortimer and Tim Carter, and hopefully they reveal a flavour of the events.
We hope that this will be a lasting memory for villagers, families, friends and visitors.
Any profits from the sale of this book will go to the church of St Wilfred, in Honington.
