About the Ebook
SubUrban Nomads: A visual documentary on joint custody
Vol. 1 Scheduled Nomads
is a provocative journey through the time and space of a shared family parenting plan. The first part of the book reveals the two unique rooms of each parents home. The second half of the book merges the visual with the different time-sharing schedules to reveal provocatively insightful monthly cycles of a childs coming and going. Finally, adding one additional layer, a visual matrix is explored using schedules of a double blended family ( two previously divorced parents merging new families together into one-so two sets of children have two different parenting plans.) The poetry the imagery and the concept is approached with respect and care for both sets of parents and the SubUrban nomad child. The intention of this book is to not only encourage conversation within each family as they work to create and manage schedules unique to their home, but to also draw out problems that can be addressed when considering the logistics of going back and forth. I hope you enjoy this book and it brings insight into your home. I would love to hear how this impacted your family or helped you to consider your family system.
