About the Ebook
Explore the lives of the Bald Eagles of Jordan Lake, NC. Learn interesting details about the U.S. National Symbol, the American Bald Eagle. Book has excellent primer on identifying the ages of bald eagles (they don’t all have the white head and tail). There are lots of stories of how I learned what it takes to be an eagle. Laughs, gasps, long looks and an awareness of why eagles do what they do. The photos and stories are drawn from my field notes gathered while in the field with bald eagles from fledglings to adults. Book has 74 original photos (never published before) and 144 pages.

About the Creator
I am a retired equine veterinarian who turned to wildlife photography as part of my physical therapy and mental healing after a serious accident in 2007. I now use my veterinary knowledge to help study the birds of Jordan Lake. The bald eagles of the lake are of great interest to me and absorb many of my hours in field studies. To study the bald eagles I must understand the environment of the lake and that means I get to watch all the life of the Jordan Lake Neighborhood. Sharing the knowledge with photographs and stories is my goal with the Doc Ellen’s journey books.
