Create a sleek monthly or quarterly with our two magazine formats.

Newsstand quality, affordably priced

Blurb magazines come in two options: Economy, printed on 60# (89 gsm) coated gloss paper with a matte cover; and Premium, printed on heavier 80# (118 gsm) matte paper with a semi-gloss cover. Both can be printed one copy at a time or in volume (with discounts beginning at just 10 copies).

You can create Blurb magazines with either our free application, BookWright—which lets you publish in print and digital formats at the same time from a single file—or you can use our plug-in for Adobe® InDesign®. First time making a magazine? Relax. We've created a set of free, downloadable magazine starter templates that will make you look (and feel) like you've been publishing for years.

Magazines can be made with these tools

Self-publishing the American Dream

Refueled is a bi-yearly publication dedicated to the exploration of community, heritage, and discovery. Founder, publisher, and creative director, Chris Brown, curates, edits, and designs each issue, incorporating the work of photographers and writers from all over the United States. The magazine's mission is to spotlight creative people pursuing the American dream and by doing so, inspire others to do the same.

Refueled is printed in Blurb's gorgeous Premium format with a semi-gloss 80# cover and matte text-stock pages on the inside. Brown has been self-publishing Refueled since 2007.

Have Travel, Will Magazine

Vietgone is a travel journal featuring photography, travel tips, recipes, and stories about a three-week stint traveling in Vietnam from Hanoi down to the busy Mekong. Beautifully shot and designed by photographer/graphic designer Brett Danielsen, Vietgone is a fine example of how the magazine format can be used to create stunning, one-off publications.
