Sheri Dixon lives with, loves and cares for her family in the heart of the East Texas Pineywoods.
An Ol' Treehuggin' Hippiechick, all she's ever wanted to do when she grows up is to write.

With Sheri's willingness of the heart, her language skills, and grit of endurance, she shows us what hope is all about. Hope, courage, and the very courage to hope . . . it's all there. In the end, we find strength to build a better life. Thanks, Sheri.
An inspiring tale that speaks volumes of a family's courage and love and simultaneously speaks of a nation's shame at not caring for its people. This book should be compulsory reading for all those who doubt that this nation needs heath care reform and those involved in reform.
