Karen Dresser is the Chair of Fine Arts at the American Hebrew Academy where she teaches classes in visual arts, including Kabbalah and Art, Bible and Art, and Holocaust Imagery. She is a photographer, watercolorist and fiber artist.

Areas of Expertise

Karen earned an Masters in Divinity at Wake Forest University's School of Divinity, and a PhD in Cultural Foundations of Education from the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. Her dissertation, Dancing with the Dead, engaged Holocaust art, Second Generation memories and pedagogy.
