Adrienne Fair was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She continues to maintain a studio practice in the Chicago area. She graduated from the Univercity of Illinois in 2013 with a BFA in Craft: Metals and a Minor in Art History. During her studies at the university Adrienne Fair was a College of Fine and Applied Arts James Scholar, and the recipient of the Lois Marie Orr Scholarship. Adrienne Fair held an intern position at Eclectic: An artist Coop. in Urbana Illinois. At Eclectic, she worked in retail sales, arranged gallery spaces, consulted with members, and learned about the interaction between local artists and the Urbana community. In 2012 Adrienne Fair participated in the Catholic Arts Festival, at the St. John’s Catholic Newman Center, at the University of Illinois, she presented a follow up lecture on her thesis work there in 2013.
