Ashley Mant graduated with a Bachelor of Education and Diploma of Teaching (Early Childhood) from Auckland University and Auckland College of Education in 2000. She has taught both in the Northern Auckland and Tauranga Districts in New Zealand. Through her teaching experience, Ashley has been able to identify with what children most enjoy in children's literature. Ashley aims to captivate her young audience by stimulating their imagination and creative thought processes by inviting them on a journey through a child’s evening routine and a view into their imagination.

Ashley is a mother of 3 young boys; her interests include art, surfing, hiking and horse riding.
