T. Guy Spencer began his photography hobby as a youth in Oklahoma. He attended Westminster College (MO) where he was yearbook photographer, and completed his degree at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After a series of careers, he founded Hour Photo, Inc. in Sudbury, Massachusetts, in 1985, and proceeded to view many of 10 million photos processed in his two shops during the subsequent 15 years. After retirement in 2001, and a move to Florida, he resumed his personal interest in taking photographs, progressing through a series of digital cameras. His interest is heightened by the many subjects found in his adopted home in the condominium community of Pelican Cove, located on Little Sarasota Bay, a few miles south of Sarasota, on Florida's west coast. It is here that he continues to focus his lens on plants, animals, birds, bugs and scenes like those found in "Views at Pelican Cove."
