About

The Cycling Art Project is the confluence of cycling and art. Together, they allow a vast world of language and symbolism in how cyclists communicate with each other, their equipment and where and how they ride to come to life. I was fully enmeshed in this sophisticated sport for many years, enjoying its rich traditions, pageantry and suffering. I began this artwork after December 1, 2012 when I suffered a devastating cycling accident when an out of control pickup travelling 45 mph struck me while riding on PCH in Malibu, CA. In an instant I went from a cyclist at the top of his game to never being able to ride again. In order to heal and to stay in touch with the cycling world, I've turned to art to continue this passion. I feel that these images not only apply to cycling but to other sports and life itself. Please enjoy.
