About

Dixon Kinqade (1974 - Present) is a contemporary American author of noir detective novels and short stories written in the classic pulp style characteristic of the genre. His protagonist, Jack Dylan, is synonymous with “private detective” alongside Dashiell Hammett’s Sam Spade, Raymond Chandler’s Philip Marlowe, and Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer. Kinqade’s creation of the character Jack Dylan was clearly influenced by the school of hardboiled detective fiction made famous by predecessors of the genre.

Pulp Stories
As an experiment and for amusement, despite his self-proclaimed lack of creative writing talent, he began writing pulp style detective fiction in 2008.

Novels
His first novel, The Shadow of Fu Hong Wu, was published in November 2009.
