David L. Cook has worked as a strategic planner, economist, university lecturer, executive manager and negotiator. With much opportunity to explore the planet, his travels cover more than 25 countries, and include doing business and research in the United States, Iceland, the EU, Britain, as well as Ukraine, Moldova, Lithuania, Kyrgyz, Mexico, Greater China and Russia. To capture the sights and memories of many journeys across the globe, David has turned strongly to the visual arts, a field in which he explores and uses painting with acrylics and photography as important creative channels. In 1994, he received a citation from the Governor General of Canada, and was awarded the Commemorative Medal for the 125th Anniversary of Canadian Confederation, in recognition of significant contributions to Canada. |
