About

Francesca Profili, a Canadian artist of Italian descent, comes from a family of self-taught artists with many inborn talents. Her parents and her paternal grandparents were fashion designers.

She expresses her creativity through sculptures in the shape of masks because she has always been fascinated by their multi-layered world of symbols, allegories and metaphors.

Francesca has a bachelor of arts degree in urban economic geography from McGill University in Montreal and worked in a wide range of fields prior to realizing her dream of becoming a full-time artist.

She exhibited her artwork in several private and public galleries and had a solo exhibition at the Canadian Museum of Craft and Design in 1995. Her original pieces as well as her limited edition prints grace numerous private collections in North America and Europe.
