I was born in Pittsfield Maine, and raised by very hard working parents. I was taught at a very young age to appreciate, respect and enjoy nature, and all that it has to offer.
At 18, I married my high school sweetheart and together, we had three beautiful children, Alanda & Joshua. Our middle child, Dawn, passed away at 32 days due to a genetic defect known as Trisomy 18. Currently, we have two beautiful grandchildren who absolutely love spending time with us at camp.
My husband is a Disabled Veteran who has both Lupus and Multiple Sclerosis. Many people wonder how we dare to stay in the Maine woods for extended periods of time. The answer to that question is simple, "It isn't as easy, but we love it." We make the best of what we have and what nature has to offer.
Life is challenging for everyone, but no matter what is thrown at you, you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and face the world head-on.
