Like many others, along the way I have been making a few paintings and taking a few photos..always wishing there was time to do more! Please take a few minutes to browse my website: www.lisbailly.com
Recent art exhibitions included a photography group show 'Attachments' (McPherson 2012) and a solo show 'New Horizons' (Luz Gallery 2011).
|Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...|
Artefacts, about collecting objects from the mundane to the bizarre, and the stories they tell us.|
Or it might be a portfolio of photos to celebrate the pleasures of paintbox colours like Alizarin Crimson, Cerulean Blue, Naples Yellow, Vermillon....
|This book is addictive. Read it. (At your own risk.)|
|The Alexandrian Quartet by Lawrence Durrell. He uses the word 'Islomanes' to describe people " who find islands somehow irresistible. The mere knowledge that they are on an island, a little world surrounded by the sea, fills them with an indescribable intoxication..." One of my inspirations for 'Tidelines' for sure.|
