Jeffrey & LaCreatia's eldest child, her brother's favorite sister, born, raised, and residing in Portland, Oregon, member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and Alumna of Fisk University. Alisha Denise is all of these things and now also a self-published author.

"I've been writing most of my life. Short stories, essays, poems, songs. It's been the most constant thing in my life outside of faith and family. It's also the thing I run away from most often. Let's just say that I'm not a very fast runner!"

A writer of poetry and prose, Alisha describes why this is such a meaningful craft for her. "The exchange of words is a very powerful phenomena. What we have the ability to give to one another through words, whether spoken, written, or otherwise....is remarkable. Words create pathways to understanding the human experience more fully. They build bridges at the spaces in between us. They connect us."
