Julia Horbaschk

I am a professional photographer, curator and lecturer from Brighton. My main area of work is editorial/documentary photography. I also have artistic ambitions.

I'm most interested in geo political issues and the concept of identity i.e. what makes us feel at home. I love documenting real life characters who have displayed resilience during migration, illness or old age and general real life characters.

My specialism is travel & documentary photography, however it is the people I meet on the way that inspire me the most.

My images are published with: BBC World, Marie Claire, The British Journal of Photography, Hotshoe International, Location Location Location, The Observer, Wavelength, Coast Magazine and more.
