My work is about how I see, feel, and experience life. Imagination, truth, and love are at the core of every image. At the same time, I focus on the expression and celebration of beauty. Beauty transports me to a place that is beyond space and time. Natural beauty is everywhere. A rock on the beach, rain drops on a leaf, frost on the window, the sun kissing the horizon; nature has given us unlimited inspiration and elements to create our own works of art. When I find chaos I sometimes rearrange, remove, or add elements to calm and simplify. Both interior and exterior surroundings are my palette. When I find a beautiful scene in nature, I photograph it to capture it’s essence. Creating a vignette with my own arrangement of objects is equally exciting. There are no boundaries. In creating art I learn more about myself and the world. For me, the act of creation is an act of self discovery. ~ Roberta |
