Somewhere between concept and realization is knowledge: theoretical understanding and practical skills of a subject. Shiva Rimal tries to master these aspects in an attempt to create raw and visually intriguing items. Experimenting with conceptual and dimensional design is what Rimal likes to do. This way, materials, shapes, color, light, industrial design, photography and the love for words are all combined in a variety of projects.

Shiva Rimal’s professional design projects for organizations like World Press Photo, KPN-Gemnet, Mastervolt, Plan, Einhaus Global Corporation and many more have been showcased in several countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and New York (UN Headquarters). Rimal’s personal artwork The Iron Capture Series & Materialistic Line were exhibited in Australia in 2007 and several times in The Netherlands in Groningen, the old synagogue in Weesp, Beautiful coffee-bar and gallery Ludwig in Amsterdam and as part of the of the Route du Nord Light (2012).
