Demetrice M. Davis

Columbus, Ohio

An avid photographer for more than 30 years, Demetrice has worked as a photojournalist, free-lance photographer, and a darkroom technician. Her photography has been published in the San Diego Voice and Viewpoint weekly newspaper, the Jackson State University’s Blue & White Flash newspaper, and the Jackson Advocate weekly newspaper in Jackson, Mississippi. She has photographed theatre productions for the Speech and Dramatic Arts Department at Jackson State University, the Southern Rural Women’s Network, and Mississippi College. She has served as the Co-chair for the 4th Council District Arts and Cultural Commission in San Diego, California.

In addition to her initial training as a photographer in the Calendula Graphic Arts program at her high school, she attended the Nikon School of Photography and the New York Institute of Photography. Ms. Davis is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP).
