Sumac Books is the personal imprint of poet Susan McMaster. Over the past three decades, she has published many small private publications in editions of 20-200 copies, such as a Christmas series of poem cards, broadsheets, chapbooks, wordmusic recordings, and family memoirs under the names Sumac, Sumac Publishing, and Sumac Editions. In the current era of on-line and PID publishing, the poet has established the name Sumac Books in order to publish her out-of-print and hard-to-get collections, along with new works by herself and others. Lizard Love: Artists Scan Poems by Susan McMaster is the first in this new series.
