Tammy Winand is an photographer, designer, and journalist.
Born in York, PA in 1968, she graduated from Dallastown High School in 1986 and attended West Chester University, where she studied French and creative writing. She has lived in 11 US states and 4 foreign countries.
Her work focuses mainly on travel and cultures and how they connect us all. She has written regarding life in the Tibetan exile communities of India and Nepal, and plans several more books in related fields.
Tammy recounts attending teachings by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the community where he has resided since 1960 as among the most uplifting and life changing events in her unconventional journey.
She also loves tea, cats, and chocolate.
