Tammy Winand is an author, photographer and designer.
Born in York, PA in 1968, she graduated from Dallastown High School in 1986 and attended West Chester University, where she studied French and creative writing. She relocated to central Florida in 1992. Since then she has lived in 7 US states and 4 foreign countries.
Her work focuses mainly on travel and cultures and how they connect us all. She has written regarding life in the Tibetan exile communities of India and Nepal, and plans several more books in related fields.
Tammy recounts attending teachings by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the community where he has resided since 1960 as among the most uplifting and life changing events in her unconventional journey.
She also loves tea, cats, and chocolate.
