I am Lauralyn Brickhouse Wilkins - a self-taught photographer with a penchant for 10 second timer self-portraiture. Eager to add lo-fi, analog photography to my repertoire - I purchased a Holga 120 in the WInter of 2010, and quickly became enamored with the vignetted, vintage quality photos that the simple, toy camera produced. Upon discovering Instagram in early 2011, I bought my first iPhone 3G - which I still use today to capture images of abandoned structures and antique vehicles (among many other things) that dot the countryside, and small towns of the Northern Shenandoah Valley - where I currently live. In Feb. 2011, I launched my "Little Pretties" blog (www.littleprettypix.com) where I share and write about the long, tall, square, and 35mm film pics. that I snap with my Sony Cybershot, iPhone, Holga 120 and Minolta XG-1.
