| My Bio | Genuine renaissance spirit, embracing new adventures in life as they come...currently into baking, crafting, writing and dreaming. I run a micro business, called the Flying Tea Parlour, based near Amersham in the UK, and I make bespoke party cakes and dessert table fare for weddings, parties, anything! But mostly, in my spare time, you'll find me either baking, dreaming about baking or admiring someone else's baking! Oh, and dreaming of a bigger kitchen... |
| Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about... |
| Hmmm...probably another baking book, but this time combined with craft and styling events...! |
| Everyone needs to know about these authors and artists... |
|
My top 2 authors ever, in the fiction genre, are Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Salman Rushdie, with apologies to Wilkie Collins and Matthew Lewis, whose classic books I adore. In terms of food books, I cannot go past Michel Roux, whose recipes and techniques are always reliable, but for inspiration, at the moment I love Heather Baird. |
| This book is addictive. Read it. (At your own risk.) |
| There are so many I'd love to put here...aside from pretty much anything by the authors I've already mentioned, there's 'The vanishing act of Esme Lennox' by Maggie O'Farrell, 'Five quarters of the orange' by Joanne Harris, and 'Perfume: The story of a murderer' by Patrick Suskind. |
