Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...
My daughter, Inger Jorgensen, is a successful painter in Ashland, Oregon. Her paintings are getting increasing attention in the art world and I'd like to do a coffee table book of her best work to date. A fun collaborative project. See some of her work at www.ingerjorgensen.com.
Also I'm thinking of writing a cookbook as I do love to cook and usually don't look at my recipe books anymore.
Everyone needs to know about these authors and artists...
Jim Harrison, a prolific novelist, writes with a great gift about life, love and loss. He is also a gourmand and his non-fiction book about food, "The Raw and the Cooked," is hilarious and will send you to the market for ingredients. Novel-wise, start with "Dalva" and continue the trilogy. Jim is well-known for the novella, "Legends of the Fall" which was made into a fine film.
This book is addictive. Read it. (At your own risk.)
"Infiinite Jest "by the late David Foster Wallace. Also his commencement speech, recently published posthumously called "This Is Water."
