Fabio Ivano Magalini was born in Rome in 1958. In 1962 he moved with his family to the US where he grew, played and studied till 1969. Back in Italy, he earned a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and in the early ‘80s started working in Medical Informatics, and writing. He then swapped several jobs, as an advertisement account manager, then graphic designer, yet still continuing his writing. In 1995 he started his sideline volunteer activity which would take him to work in: Bosnia, Kenya, Colombia, Cote d’Ivoire, Burundi and Uganda. In 2003 he published his first novel, L’albero dei Piedi Alti (The High Feet Tree), followed in 2007 by Nella Carne e nel Sangue (In Flesh and Blood). In 2010 he decided to decommodify and stepped-out, moving to the solitude of a hermitage-sanctuary in the mountains of Central Italy. Father the Future is the Anglo-American translation of I Quaderni Paterni I (available on Blurb), handwritten and illustrated while living the revealing experience.
