Delight in nature was instilled in Kris in her childhood, spent at the edge of a lake in northern Wisconsin. That same small lake now provides the view and inspiration from the windows of her summer studio. She also maintains a studio in Sarasota, Florida.

Through her art she strives to communicate her joy of experience, both of observation and of creation. When she succeeds, the person who views her paintings will see a small part of the world in a new light.

Kris has earned signature status in the National Watercolor Society and her award-winning paintings have appeared on the covers of national art magazines. She conducts advanced-level watercolor workshops.
