Alexia Montibon-Larsson was born in southern California and grew up in the Inland Empire. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in art with a minor in art history from the University of Southern California. Forged In Fire, which was co-authored with her mother, Rita Tomoko Montibon, is her first self-published work. Alexia and her husband live and work in Los Angeles.
