Alix Hallman Travis is an award winning artist who often paints in watercolor. Her distinctive, loose, wet watercolor paintings have gained critical attention, often appearing in national and international juried shows. Travis’ paintings are filled with vibrant, pulsating color. Her brush literally dances across the paper to quickly create images of vibrating light and dark shapes. Travis resides in the tiny village of Halcottsville, NY and feels that she needn’t travel much beyond her front door for subject matter.
