Amber Maida (b. Buffalo, NY 1980) is a visual artist currently residing in Naugatuck, CT. Her contemporary mixed media & acrylic paintings are internationally collected and represented by galleries throughout CT, NY, VT and in the UK. Amber’s art has been selected for juried exhibits in museums and galleries, including the 2007 Housatonic Museum of Art group exhibition and the Silvermine Guild of Art 2006 group exhibition.The White Space Gallery, CT has represented Amber’s art since 2007 and her paintings were recently featured in gallery photos pictured in Jan. 2008 edition of Ink Magazine. A trained dancer & award-winning choreographer, Amber has had over a decade of education/professional experience in the visual and performing arts. The Vermont Today newspaper quoted Amber's paintings as being “Kandinskyesque abstractions" after viewing the paintings inspired by David Bowie music at the Lazy Pear Gallery, VT. Amber’s paintings will be on exhibit at the NYC Art Expo 2009.
