Born in Los Angeles, California. Graduated with honors from St. John's College in Annapolis, MD. Upon graduation, went to New Mexico to find a painting teacher. Worked with Jorge Fick until moving to Boulder, Colorado one year later. Studied printmaking at the University of Colorado with Ken Iwamasa. In 1980 began working in the medium of computer graphics, on an Apple IIe, later working under the patronage of Woody and Steina Vasulka. Continue to create mixed media art focused on video installations that include sculptural aspects, hand drawing and animation, most recently doing en plain air drawings on Apple devices.
