I grew up in San Antonio, TX and worked on the newspaper and yearbook committee as a photographer using a Nikon 35mm F3 and black and white film. I really enjoyed shooting all sports and printing my own pictures in the darkroom. I majored from Colorado College in Geology and minored in Photography after taking several classes to learn about the digital world. After I graduated in 2005, I got a job as a professional photographer with Aspen Skiing Company. For two years, I greatly increased my knowledge of the business of photography and how to sell to a certain market with family portraits and staged action shots of guests skiing. I started using a Nikon D200 and absolutely love it. It's a little big to carry around everywhere and to sometimes travel with, but to spend days in the Colorado mountains with it are some of my favorite. I take tons of photos and only print a few and am learning how to advertise, market, and sell my work slowly, but surely. I hope you enjoy my work.
