| My Bio |
I began painting at age sixteen. I was not ‘raised’, but grew in a vacuum, tutored by demons and angels, in a Spartan, Skinner-box hell. God is found in the solitude of disassociation, and these His initiatory rites. I left home at sixteen as well: lived a Bohemian existence (Jack Kerouac meets Hunter S. Thompson: paint, guns and bad craziness). Life itself was Art going straight to hell, quasi-Zen eye in chaos--the perihelion-approach to, and nihilistic pursuit of a violent, forced satori. My works are metaphor for psychological states, the semiotics of synchronicity, mysticism, summum psychology; allegory of an order underlying ordinary reality, silent confession, and ghosts. ~BKB |
