In sixth grade, we had a writing teacher who inspired me to start writing poetry. The depth and insight of the poems I wrote at age 11 is amazing. As a young girl, I made up nightly bed time stories for my two younger brothers. And today, I write children's books with my four amazing little nieces as inspiration.

My first published book, You are the Light of the World, is intended to be accessible for parents of any religious background to communicate with their young children about spirit, God, love.

I focus group tested You are the Light of the World with a sample of friends' children, and have found that babies around one year of age respond so beautifully to the message. It is as if they are still tapped in to spirit and brighten up when they hear the story.

My next project is a series of books based on the adventures of Bella the wonder dog.
