Steve Riley is a former Broadway dancer, director, and choreographer. He has been making pictures since 1971. He is a commercial photographer in Dallas specializing in people for advertising. His body of personal work over the years includes documentary, portraits, cowboys, dancers , nudes, and travel. He shoots film from 35mm to 8x10 and prints on aluminum . He has recently started a platinum print project. His first book with Blurb is Mexican Doors. He has two black and white projects in the wings due Christmas. He has mounted over 25 exhibitions and most recently had a retrospect of his 38 years in pictures.

Hemingway is always with me in my travels. It's fun to visit all the places he went and wonder what it must have been like being creative in his time. Rothko should be on your list of artists along with Ed Ruscha for pure design and color Don't miss Richard Avedon's "In the American West" exhibit if it is ever on tour again. Masterful! Albert Watson is today's greatest people photographer.Check him out. |
