Charlotte Oedekoven, was born 1983 in Edmonton, Canada and moved to Munich, Germany as a child, since her father was German. She was the last of the 17 of her german grandmother`s grandchildren, who was living in Munich,too and whom she was named after. Little Charlotte, a creative spirit with artistic talent, grew up listening to her Grandmother Charlotte`s Stories, which she would tell to her grandchildren before bed. In 1998, she was 15 years old, her grandmother passed away at the age of 84. About 10 years after her death, Charlotte finds out that her Uncle, still living in Munich, had saved copies of her grandmother`s notebook, in which she had written down the stories she invented for her grandchildren. Charlotte, 25, started her final project for her Bachelor`s diploma, studying Scenographical Design in Switzerland at Zurich University of the Arts. It became an art installation inspired by one of the stories. The project went further. This book is the product, 2 years later.
