My Bio
|
I’ve had a serious relationship with my cameras since 1974, when I left a former love, Architecture. This prompted me to leave home in Iowa to study photography at the Kansas City Art Institute. I graduated from the Art Institute in 1977 and began to raise a family shortly after. By design, the cameras were then relegated to the occasional weekend fling, which after 20 some years left me with a sizable stack of unprinted negatives and proof sheets. In 2002 I was able to start printing and shooting full time again and began exhibiting my work. Since then, my work has been featured in shows internationally (Pingyao, China), nationally (New York City, San Antonio) and locally (Minnesota Center for Photography) with other stops along the way. I am currently working on two projects, titled Landscape of Progress and The Architecture of Amusement, along with my ongoing personal project tilted Beneath the Surface.
