my name is charles o'shields i was born in greenville south carilina. feb' 16 1940 i was next to the youngest child of denny leonard o'shields sr. and lillie belle riddle. denny l. o'shields sr. was born in spartanburg s.c. july 21' 1900. and lillie belle riddle was born march 5' 1900. they were married in 1919 and were married 52' years before mother died in 1971 mother was 71 at her death. daddy lived to be 86 years of age at his death. he died in june 1987 daddy would have been 87 in july. we thank God for daddy and mother and for what they stood for. there were 8 children born in the home three were born dead 2' baby brothers and a baby sister.. as of this date there are only three children left, now my daddys daddy was wg.s. o'shields now wiley george simpson o'shields was born 1863 --1938. his wife was annie hyatt .
