I was born and raised in Western Nebraska, living most of that time in a small town called Bridgeport. I spent four years in the U.S.Marine Corps immediately after graduating from high school, which took me to California, where I have lived for over 50 years. I graduated from San Diego State College in 1970. I served for 32 years with the San Diego City Fire Department, retiring as a Battalion Chief in 2003. My wife and I have two adult children, Todd, and Rhonda, who is married to Steve. I enjoy photography, golf, traveling with my wife, Judy, and spending time with my family...especially 'The World's Three Most Beautiful Grandkids', Chelsea, Connor and Kennedy.
