Siefert is currently deputy director of Parrish Art Museum, Water Mill, NY. In this role, he works as an advocate for arts and culture. As an artist, Siefert tinkers in his studio, making sculptures or taking photos or both. Siefert offers narratives of observation - unintended stories that emerge when outside forces alter the structure or skin of things. Siefert received his MFA from Carnegie Mellon University and his BS in landscape architecture from Cornell University. Siefert's work has been recognized through fellowships, grants and awards including a Noyce Fellowship in 2013.
