I was born and grew up in Cheshire, England. In 1995 I emigrated to live on Achill island in County Mayo on Ireland's west coast, close to my Grandmother's farm.
Eight years ago I began writing poetry on a regular basis and have published four small collections.
I have read my poetry throughout County Mayo and my work has appeared in a number of magazines and anthologies.
I am also a playwright. My first play, a monologue, 'The Quiet Room', was performed by Phoenix Theatre Works, in Belmullet, County Mayo, in April 2008. I am currently writing my first full-length play.
