I am retired and live on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula of Washington. My goal is to give back to this world for my own wonderful life. Although I do participate and volunteer in many social justice and non-profit endeavors, it never seems enough. I think that our species can learn acceptance from the animal kingdom and I tried to portray that by telling the story of Mikey.
Although I love to write, I don't find time enough for it. I find that retired life is much too busy!
I am an animal lover and have had many animals in my lifetime. Mikey, the Vietnamese Pot Belly pig was the most interesting, bright, and wonderful animal I have been lucky enough to know.
I hope you enjoy the book.
Spoiler alert: I'm thinking my next book will be about...
I am thinking that if I write another book, it will be again about some of my animal friends. Animal friendships cross species boundaries much easier than we, as humans, cross cultural ones.
Everyone needs to know about these authors and artists...
Sherman Alexi is one of my favorites.
