About

My father was a commercial photographer, and my first experiences were at his elbow, in the studio, the field, and the darkroom. While I was in the Navy I bought a good camera, and quickly became immersed in photography as a hobby. I worked briefly as an industrial photographer, but when the contract ran out so did the job. I got a degree in computer science, which paid the rent until I burned out. I kept taking pictures whatever I was working at. My first personal computer introduced me to Adobe Photoshop, and I was hooked from the first time I started it. I've been learning about it since Day 1, and expect to keep learning for the rest of my life! It's powerful, complex, and wonderful. These days I'm making my services available on the internet, and hoping to get to that point where I can't afford to keep my day job.
