| My Bio |
In the past 4 years, I made 4 trips to east Africa in the sole pursuit of fine art photographic images of the people, landscapes and wildlife of this exotic land. July of 2006 marked the first time I began sharing these images with the public and I have been delighted by quickly becoming recognized for my art, with numerous awards and exhibitions. I approach my digital art from a "minimalist" perspective, feeling that less is often more when capturing the essence and subtleties of nature. Digital editing is generally done minimally to convey with accuracy what I envisioned as I released the camera's shutter. Some editing may be done to manage broad tonalities that the eye can see, yet the camera is still unable to capture accurately. All of the images in The Safari Journals can be purchased as fine art prints printed on museum grade paper, and meeting archival standards.
